SomeraRoad Inc. will soon be able to offer a double feature of Asian restaurants at the Box Office, the company’s redevelopment of the former movie theater building at the company’s SouthSide Works property.
With the revolving sushi bar Kura set to open soon at the Box Office, the retail leasing team for the project at CBRE have announced on LinkedIn that there’s now a new lease signed by a restaurant called Nan Xiang to take the former Sake space of more than 5,000 square feet in the former movie theater building.
Tommy McCafferty, a vice president in the Pittsburgh office of CBRE who specializes in retail leasing, announced the commitment on his LinkedIn profile.
He called what the restaurant has to offer “authentic Northern Chinese cuisine” in the announcement and added the newcomer is shooting to open near the end of the first quarter of 2024.
The new restaurant will join a host of other new businesses at SomeraRoad’s mixed-use complex, which includes recent openings by COhatch, the coworking venture, and the Speckled Egg and Commonplace Coffee.
