A bustling Downtown brunch spot and area coffee roaster are planning to jump across the Mon together, landing in a shared space at SouthSide Works.

Slated for a fall opening, it’s a collaboration in which The Speckled Egg and Commonplace Coffee cohabitate in the 6,120-square-foot space formerly occupied by bd’s Mongolian Grill.

SouthSide Works’ owner, SomeraRoad, Inc., which is also planning a 246-unit apartment complex for the area, worked with commercial real estate giant CBRE to find the new tenants, who signed a 10-year-lease, per a Thursday press release.

The space is nestled in the SouthSide Works’ Town Center, which is anchored by an REI, along 27th Street. The Speckled Egg will occupy about two-thirds of the square footage, Commonplace the remaining third.
