Fred Rogers Productions Inc. will soon make the SouthSide Works its new neighborhood as new owner SomeraRoad Inc. works to reposition the mixed-use complex.

SomeraRoad announced Thursday that the production company of children’s programming will move its office to the SouthSide Works, taking a little more than 13,000 square feet for its new office there in one of the first announced office deals of SomeraRoad’s ownership.

Jonathon Reeser, SomeraRoad Inc.’s director of acquisitions, said of the move in a prepared statement: “We are thrilled to welcome such a celebrated organization that is so rooted in Pittsburgh. Since our acquisition of the SouthSide Works property, SomeraRoad has been dedicated to securing tenants that not only add value to the property, but add value to the community around us. What better way to continue that story than to welcome the innovators who continue to develop incredible programming inspired by the legacy of Pittsburgh’s own Fred Rogers?”
