SomeraRoad Inc. has taken Nashville’s commercial real estate scene by storm since the firm entered the market a few years back — and Jonathon Reeser, the firm’s local chief who relocated from New York City to Music City in 2021, has been behind much of the action. Under Reeser’s guidance, the firm has snatched up high-profile development sites and made significant progress on Paseo South Gulch, an adaptive reuse project featuring two renovated historical structures and three brand-new towers on Eighth Avenue South. Reeser and SomeraRoad are also active in Wedgewood-Houston, planning hundreds of apartment units in the up-and-coming neighborhood.
Project I’m working on that I’m most excited about, and why: Paseo South Gulch is currently at the top of the list. The 5-acre project sits on Eighth and Division and is anchored by the adaptive reuse of the Voorhees and Antiques buildings, which already have a strong base of retail tenants. We’ve broken ground on Prima, a 278-unit, 16-story multifamily tower which will be followed by a hotel/condo tower, another multifamily tower and an office tower.
