Built in 1912, the Stutz is a historic, architecturally significant building situated on the north side of downtown Indianapolis. Originally built to manufacture Stutz Automobiles, the 441,000 SF complex is comprised of 8 buildings, connected by skybridges, and dissected by alleyways. Today, the building is home to the city’s creative class, with 200+ small businesses, designers, marketing firms, architects, makers, and artists. SomeraRoad acquired the building off-market in 2021 with plans to redevelop it into a best-in-class mixed-use asset while respecting the building’s storied history. The upgrades will include modernized building systems and elevators, tenant amenity spaces, food and fitness options, and a vibrant and activated streetscape. The project is structured as a Qualified Opportunity Zone transaction with a long-term investment timeline.
