Renovations to one of Louisville’s Downtown towers are complete, offering tenants an array of new amenities.

SomeraRoad, a Nashville-based real estate development firm, has completed the renovations to 500W. The $16 million project brought changes to the lobby and fourth floor of the 29-story office tower at 500 W. Jefferson St.

The main change to the building included about 4,000 square feet on the fourth floor. Ken Haskins, general manager of the building, said the new lounge areas have already been a hit among tenants.

The tenant lounge features liquor lockers, a cocktail bar and video walls for employees in the building to utilize. From the lounge, users are able to access the greenscape terrace, which can be used for happy hours, parties and more by the tower’s tenants.

The floor also has two new conference rooms and a training center. Of the conference rooms, one is able to seat up to 20 while the other can seat up to eight. The training center has space for up to 60 people, with movable desks and projection capabilities.

The floor houses a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment like Peloton Bikes, treadmills, free weights and more. Open 24 hours a day, tenants has access to all the amenities free of charge.

The tower’s occupancy is about 48%. Haskins said the new amenities are generating a significant amount of interest in the 556,000-square-foot building.
