SomeraRoad Launches Development Division 22 June 2020 SomeraRoad Inc. today announces the launch of a new division focused on ground-up development. Andrew Donchez recently joined the firm as a Vice President – Head of Development to lead the new division. Donchez will oversee the ground-up development and construction of all asset types, with a particular focus on multifamily apartments. He will lead SomeraRoad’s portfolio of development projects in the key growth markets of Nashville, Pittsburgh, Northern Virginia, and Memphis, and source new development opportunities throughout the country. To start, the Donchez-led team will be focused on new apartment projects in Nashville and Pittsburgh.

Donchez, a 15+ year veteran in the ground-up development and construction business, joins SomeraRoad from Mill Creek Residential Trust where he was Vice President of Development in the Northeast, overseeing development activities for projects throughout New York and New Jersey. Prior to Mill Creek, Donchez worked at RXR Realty, a privately held owner, manager, and developer based in New York City. There, he helped build RXR’s ground-up multifamily business, including the development of more than 3,500 apartment units throughout the New York suburbs, ultimately helping to reshape the downtowns of suburban Westchester County. Before that, Andrew was a Senior Project Manager for the New York division of Toll Brothers®, a builder of luxury single-family, townhome and multifamily properties across 24 states nationwide.
