Development company SomeraRoad — which continues work on Paseo South Gulch — has hired Brontë Prins as general counsel.

According to a release, Prins will oversee legal affairs across the firm’s portfolio, which is co-based in Nashville and New York.

Before joining SomeraRoad, Prins served as chief legal officer of Nashville-based real estate development firm Southern Land Company. At SLC, she worked on more than 30 ground-up development projects and closed on a collective $2.5 billion of transactions.

Prins began her legal career in private practice at Clifford Chance in New York City and later practiced at Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz in Nashville.

Prins received her B.A. degree from the University of Southern California and her J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law.
