Ian is a Managing Principal and Founder of SomeraRoad and is responsible for the oversight and management of the platform across all business verticals. He is the chairman of the Executive Committee, and as chairman is responsible for SomeraRoad’s final investment decision-making and business plan development. Ian founded the platform in 2016 and has since built the firm into a diversified and vertically integrated commercial real estate investment and development platform. Previously, Ian was a Managing Director at Triangle Capital Group, a firm he helped develop shortly after its inception, where he oversaw the acquisitions and asset management divisions focusing on a variety of commercial real estate investment products. Ian also worked at Jefferies & Company in its Investment Banking Division where he focused on raising both debt and equity. He started his career on the CMBS Origination and Securitization desk at Morgan Stanley.
Ian holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with honors from Emory University with a B.B.A. He is the Founder of The Asperger's Awareness Council, a 501(c)(3) organization that raises awareness and funding for high-functioning forms of Autism, and previously served on Manhattan’s Community Board Five. Ian resides in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and daughter.
Fergus is a Managing Principal of SomeraRoad, helping oversee all aspects of the business. Fergus sits on the Executive Committee and leads the company's capital markets activities and transaction structuring. He also oversees strategic initiatives, business growth, and hiring. Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Fergus worked at NorthStar Asset Management Group, Inc., a predecessor to Colony NorthStar, Inc. At NorthStar, Fergus focused on large portfolio acquisitions across all asset classes and jurisdictions, serving time across the firm’s New York, Luxembourg, and London offices. He has extensive experience acquiring and financing commercial real estate, having closed over $5 billion in transactions.
Fergus is completing his Executive M.B.A. at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College, where he also played Men's Lacrosse. Fergus and his wife live in Manhattan with their dog, Jeff.
Jonathon is a Director of Acquisitions at SomeraRoad, helping lead the firm’s acquisition and asset management efforts across the value-add and opportunistic verticals. A member of the Executive Committee, Jon oversees the Nashville headquarters and all of SomeraRoad’s investment activities within the growing market. Jon also leads the firm’s efforts in Pittsburgh, the Washington DC-metro area, and Las Vegas. Prior to SomeraRoad, Jon was a Vice President at Sovereign Capital Management, a San Diego-based firm focused on investing in distressed commercial real estate. At Sovereign, he led the acquisition and asset management of a $6 billion Tenant-In-Common portfolio with 150+ properties nationwide.
Jon received a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from Point Loma Nazarene University. Originally hailing from San Diego, Jon and his wife Amanda now reside in Nashville, TN.
Basel is a Director of Acquisitions at SomeraRoad, helping lead the firm’s acquisition and asset management efforts across the value-add and opportunistic verticals. A member of the Executive Committee, Basel leads the firm’s efforts particularly with regards to adaptive-reuse and heavy value-add transactions. His focal markets include Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Cleveland. Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Basel worked at PGIM Real Estate, Prudential's real estate investment management business. There he held asset management responsibilities for the firm’s flagship core fund, with a focus on office and industrial assets in the northeast valued at more than $5 billion.
Basel received a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. While at Cornell, Basel founded a real estate investment firm to acquire, improve, and dispose of distressed residential assets. Basel and his wife live in his home state of New Jersey.
Andrew is a Director of Development at SomeraRoad and member of the Executive Committee. Andrew oversees and spearheads all aspects of the firm’s ground-up development platform with a current pipeline of multifamily projects, in excess of $1 billion in total cost. Andrew has over 15 years of experience in development. Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Andrew served as Vice President of Development for Mill Creek Residential Trust, where he led the development of 1,400+ residential units exceeding $600 million of development value. Andrew previously helped build RXR Realty's development platform, overseeing the construction of 1,400+ residential units totaling more than $700 million of value during his tenure. He also worked at Toll Brothers, Inc. and Ashley Development earlier in his career.
Andrew received a B.S. in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University. He lives in Beacon, NY with his wife, son, and daughter.
Amit is a Director of Debt Strategies at SomeraRoad, leading the firm’s capital markets activities and distressed debt investments. Amit oversees the debt capitalization of each transaction and structures platform-level financing strategies across the firm. Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Amit worked at Bayview Asset Management where he oversaw capital markets activity for the Commercial Real Estate Mortgage Originations group, including pricing, structuring, and securitizing new origination CMBS loans. Previously, Amit spent three years as Head Trader and Co-Head of Capital Markets at MC-Five Mile, a specialty-finance CMBS Lender. Amit spent the first ten years of his career at Morgan Stanley, where he held a variety of roles focused on commercial real estate debt strategies.
Amit received a B.S.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Computational Finance from his hometown Carnegie Mellon University. A proud Yinzer, Amit currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with his girlfriend and dog.
Brian is a Director of Net-Lease at SomeraRoad. He oversees all net-leased and income-producing commercial real estate investments across the platform. Brian has over 10 years of experience within the sector. Prior to SomeraRoad, he worked as a Senior Vice President for AR Global Investments. There he oversaw the company’s net-lease investment portfolios, which consisted of $7 billion in real estate assets across the United States and Europe, held within two, publicly traded REITs. Throughout his career at AR Global, Brian sourced and closed over $3.5 billion in total real estate transactions. He previously worked within GE Capital’s real estate asset management group.
Brian received a B.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He lives in Long Island, NY with his wife and son.
Joe is a Vice President of Asset Management for SomeraRoad, overseeing the firm’s portfolio of stabilized and net-leased commercial real estate assets across the country. Joe also assists on construction projects with heavy capital improvement and creative rehabilitation. Joe joined SomeraRoad at inception in 2016. He previously served as Director of Finance for The Shooshan Company, a privately-owned investment and development firm in the Washington DC-metro area. There he managed all financial aspects of development projects, including the acquisition, entitlement, and financing of mixed-use, office and residential ground-up development. Previously, Joe worked with DC-based developer Douglas Development Corp.
Joe earned a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Real Estate from The University of Georgia. Joe has served as an adjunct professor to the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies' Real Estate Independent Study course. Originally from Washington, DC, Joe now resides in Nashville, TN with his wife, Megan and two children.
Andrew is a Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management at SomeraRoad. He currently oversees a wide range of value-add projects in Louisville, the Washington DC-metro area, St. Louis, and other markets around the country. Previously, Andrew was a Senior Analyst at Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, a real estate capital advisory firm. There he was tasked with raising debt, equity, and opportunity zone capital on behalf of a diverse array of institutional clients.
Andrew began his career with Circle K Stores, the largest convenience store and gas station operator in the country, where he served as the sole analyst to the head of North American real estate. During his tenure with Circle K, Andrew worked closely on the $4.4 billion acquisition of CST Brands and led numerous ground-up development projects totaling over $100 million in cost.
Andrew received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University. Born and raised in the Sunshine State, Andrew currently lives in New York City with his wife and puppy.
Chris is a Vice President of Development and Construction Project Management for SomeraRoad. Chris is responsible for managing the execution of the firm’s complex redevelopment and ground-up development projects. Chris also serves as the Business Manager for Core Construction Services, SomeraRoad’s dedicated construction management firm. Chris works with Core Construction to assure construction and investment objectives remain aligned throughout the project’s life cycle.
Chris previously served as a Director of Development Services for Millcraft Investments, a full-service real estate firm in Pittsburgh, PA. During his time with Millcraft, Chris worked on pre-development efforts for a 15-acre mixed-use riverfront development and served as the development and construction lead for a mixed-use, luxury residential project - both located within the Pittsburgh urban core. Earlier in his career, Chris spent over 10 years in the Washington DC-metro area building his development and construction career. He worked for seven years with Clark Construction, one of the nation's most experienced and respected general contractors, serving as Senior Preconstruction Manager. Chris began his career as a consulting structural engineer with a focus on new mixed-use developments and adaptative re-use projects.
Chris received a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University, and earned a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Penn State University. Chris is also a licensed Professional Engineer. Chris lives in Pittsburgh with his wife and three kids.
Martin Stroble is Vice President of Construction for SomeraRoad, helping oversee all aspects of SomeraRoad’s ground-up construction projects. He brings over 10 years of high-rise engineering and construction experience to SomeraRoad.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Martin was a Project Executive at Toll Brothers City Living. While there, he led diverse interdisciplinary teams in the design and execution of complex, urban high-rise residential/mixed-use buildings. His projects spanned various US markets and had cumulative construction costs exceeding $1B. Prior to joining Toll Brothers, Martin was a Professional Engineer and Project Manager for Severud Associates in New York City. While there, he oversaw a structural engineering team in the design and construction of concrete and steel frame high-rise projects.
Martin holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University; He is currently completing his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. Martin lives in Nashville with his wife and two sons.
Taylor is Vice President of Development, overseeing all aspects of SomeraRoad’s ground-up construction projects. He brings more than a decade worth of years of development, construction, architectural, and project management experience to SomeraRoad. Taylor will be development manager for all Nashville projects, as well are regional endeavors in cities such as Kansas City and Indianapolis, among others.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Taylor was at Vornado Realty Trust, where he was a Senior Development Associate and an integral member of the team leading the redevelopment of the Penn District, including the Moynihan Train Hall, 1 Penn Plaza, 2 Penn Plaza and the LIRR Concourse redevelopment projects. In addition, Taylor led the $50 million entitlement and redevelopment of an existing historic asset in the financial district of San Francisco and spearheaded hospitality projects like the Pennsy Food Hall and the Caldwell Factory event space. He also created financial models to analyze the returns of residential, office & retail projects totaling well over $2 billion of costs. Before Vornado, Taylor managed the construction of the 327,000 square foot NPR Headquarters and the 377,000 square foot George Washington University Science Center as an Assistant Construction Manager for Boston Properties in Washington DC.
Taylor graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Architectural Design and went on to receive an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Mark is a Senior Project Manager at SomeraRoad, overseeing design and construction activities in New York City and the Northeast region. He is responsible for guiding new development and renovation projects from conception to completion, with a particular focus in the luxury residential and boutique office spaces.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Mark was a Project Manager at Oliver’s Realty Group, a residential real estate developer in NYC. There he oversaw the development of Quay Tower, a 30-story 126-unit luxury condominium at Brooklyn Bridge Park; The Landing at Brooklyn Bridge Park, a 140-unit luxury apartment rental; and the gut renovation of four historic townhouses in the West Village. Prior to Oliver’s Realty Group, Mark worked at the NYC-based developer The Hudson Companies and consulted at Ernst & Young.
Mark graduated from NYU’s Stern School of Business where he majored in finance and minored in urban design and architecture studies. He is originally from Richmond, Virginia.
Imran is a Project Manager at SomeraRoad, primarily focused on overseeing design and construction activities across large-scale projects. In this role, he is responsible for implementing project-specific business plans and working with the team to bring life to SomeraRoad's vision.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Imran was a Project Manager for the Keystone Group, a real estate development company based in Indianapolis, IN. He brings a wide breadth of experience to the table, having led the execution of complex projects across a variety of market sectors such as office, multifamily, hospitality, historic adaptive reuse, healthcare, retail, and educational facilities.
Imran received a M.S. in Construction Engineering & Management from Purdue University as well as a M.P.S. in Real Estate Development from the University of Indianapolis. He also has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India.
Mark is a Project Manager at SomeraRoad. He is responsible for managing the execution of new ground-up and adaptive reuse projects. Mark works alongside the design and construction teams to ensure quality projects deliver on time and on budget.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Mark was a Project Manager for Southern Land Company, a full-service real estate development firm based in Nashville, TN. While there, he led the construction team in the execution of the Society at Laurens, a 148-unit, mid-rise, luxury multifamily development in historic Charleston, SC. His overall construction experience includes multifamily, office, adaptive-reuse, and healthcare facilities.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Auburn University as well as an MBA from Lipscomb University. Mark lives in Nashville with his wife and son.
Brock is a Senior Associate at SomeraRoad, focused on acquisitions and asset management, with a particular focus on large-scale, mixed-use redevelopment projects. Prior to SomeraRoad, Brock worked at Jamestown L.P. in New York, on the asset management team at Industry City, a dynamic $1.3 billion, 6-million SF adaptive reuse project located in South Brooklyn. His work at Industry City included capital markets initiatives, financial analysis, financial reporting, lease analysis, and capital budget review, among other tasks.
Before Jamestown, Brock served as an acquisition analyst at Maverick Real Estate Partners LLC. Maverick is a distressed debt private equity fund manager focused on acquiring non-performing commercial mortgages secured by real estate in the New York metropolitan area.
Brock received a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University where he also played on the varsity football team. Originally from Austin, TX, Brock currently resides in New York City.
Andrew is a Senior Associate at SomeraRoad, focusing on ground-up multifamily & mixed-use projects across our development practice. He also leads asset management efforts throughout our existing multifamily portfolio.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Andrew was an Investment Associate at Outlier Realty Capital, a real estate investment firm based in Washington, DC. He was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, underwriting, and conducting due diligence across the firm’s value-add and development strategies in Washington DC and throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Andrew supported capital raising and investment related research on all projects.
Andrew received a B.S. in Finance from The George Washington University School of Business.
Blake is an Associate at SomeraRoad, focused on acquisitions and asset management.
Prior to working at SomeraRoad, Blake worked at Rialto Capital in Miami, Florida. At Rialto, Blake underwrote the acquisition of B-piece bonds within commercial real estate CMBS securitizations and assisted with the asset management of specially serviced loans and REO properties. Previously, Blake was an early employee at CompStak, a real estate tech start-up.
Blake received a B.S. in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Steven is an Associate at SomeraRoad, focused on acquisitions and asset management throughout the country.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Steven was an Investment Analyst at PGIM Real Estate, Prudential’s real estate investment management business. There he held underwriting and asset management responsibilities across all product types in the firm’s Flagship Core Plus Commercial Real Estate fund. He also held responsibilities managing multiple single client managed accounts. Steven supported a diverse array of leasing efforts, development projects, and capital improvement projects.
Steven received a B.S. in Finance and Investments at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.

Pat is a Senior Analyst at SomeraRoad with a focus on acquisitions and asset management, primarily in the Nashville market.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Pat worked as an analyst at Advent Capital Partners, a real estate development firm in Nashville, TN. At Advent Capital Partners, Pat was responsible for project due diligence, underwriting, and development within the firm’s ground-up and acquisition platforms in the greater Nashville area. During his time with Advent, he worked on residential and commercial developments totaling over $125 million.
A native of Music City, Pat received a B.S. in Economics from the University of the South.
Will is an Analyst at SomeraRoad, focused on acquisitions and asset management.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Will worked as an Analyst at The Related Companies, a diversified real estate development firm based in New York City. There, Will focused on asset management and portfolio management with responsibilities that included formulating financial reporting for the company's residential real estate portfolio, a collection of assets that spanned 300+ assets and over $10 billion in total value.
Will is completing his M.S. in Real Estate Finance from the Schack Institute of Real Estate at NYU. He received a B.A. in International Studies from the University of Michigan and resides in New York City.
Jessica is the Chief of Staff at SomeraRoad, providing support to the operations and administration functions of the business. She works across the organization to implement various strategic initiatives and assist in running the day-to-day operation.
Prior to SomeraRoad, Jessica served as Chief of Staff at Thor Equities, a global real estate development and management firm. Previously she ran operations at a residential brokerage company in NYC.
Jessica received a B.S. in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida. Originally from Florida, she now resides in NYC.
Rodley is an Operations Manager at SomeraRoad, keeping the trains running on time and all systems in order across our business.
Prior to SomeraRoad, Rodley worked as a real estate salesperson at Crosstown Apartments, a boutique real estate brokerage in New York. Previously, he was an Analyst at Mark Chris Investments, a residential and commercial developer based in California.
Rodley graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.B.A. in Finance. Originally from the west coast, Rodley resides in New York City.
Alex is a Financial Controller for SomeraRoad, overseeing all of the firm’s accounting and financial reporting functions.
Prior to joining SomeraRoad, Alex worked at Stabilis Capital Management, a New York-based investment firm specializing in asset oriented distressed debt and other unique special situations. There, Alex was a Senior Fund Accountant, supporting the firm’s accounting and treasury functions. Previously, Alex spent time at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor for clients within the financial services industry.
Alex received a B.S. in Business Administration, with honors from Bucknell University.
Saira is an Accounting Associate at SomeraRoad. Previously, she worked at Macias Gini & O'Connell LLP as a Financial Accounting and Advisory Services Associate, concentrating on Private Equities and Hedge Funds. Saira was responsible for preparing monthly financial accounting reporting and financial statements, under the US GAAP framework. She collaborated closely with the CFOs and controllers on various private equity and hedge fund accounting needs.
Saira graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting and a minor in Legal Studies in 2018; and a M.S. in Accounting from Hofstra University's Frank G. Zarb School of Business in 2019.
Jim is an Operations Analyst at SomeraRoad. Jim graduated from the University of Connecticut – Storrs with a B.A. in Economics. While at UConn, Jim worked as an Operations and Financial Assistant within the University’s Biomedical Engineering Labs. In that role, Jim assisted with financial management, acquisition of technical equipment, and project coordination for dozens of biomechanical, bioinformatic, and biochemical engineering projects.
Gabriella is an Executive Assistant at SomeraRoad.
Prior to joining the SomeraRoad team, Gabriella worked at Prologis as an Administrative Assistant and Property Coordinator in the East Rutherford office. There she supported the office’s daily operations and assisted the property management, leasing, and development teams in the management of over 55 properties in the NY/NJ industrial market.
Gabriella received a B.A. from the University of Delaware where she majored in Political Science with minors in both Business Administration and Advertising.

Erik serves as President of Core Construction Services, LLC. Erik's responsibilities include leading the company's business operations and accomplishing the goals of the developer's business objectives. With over 20 years of experience and construction expertise, Erik's vision and leadership provide guidance that motivates the Core Construction Services team to look for innovative and cooperative ways to create value for clients. Erik is committed to the success of each individual project, displayed through his involvement in all aspects of construction management; from pre-construction efforts through budget management.
Prior to starting Core Construction Services in 2019, Erik led Loomis Companies a multimillion-dollar design/build commercial construction company with a focus on projects of all sizes and asset classes.

Matt serves as Director of Construction for Core Construction Services LLC, with a focus on the execution and delivery of re-purposed and newly constructed assets. Matt oversees all pre-construction budgeting, design development, construction documentation and construction coordination. In addition to this Matt oversees all general operational needs to build and expand the Core Constructions Services team.
Matt has extensive experience in development & construction in multiple sectors including; education, institutional, medical, manufacturing, agricultural, mixed-use, office, and warehouse projects. These were for a variety of private and publicly held clients and institutions, both nationally and internationally.
Matt has completed studies at Georgia Tech for Construction Management, Case Western Weatherhead School of Management for Finance and Control. In addition Matt trained and worked as a journeyman carpenter in Cleveland Carpenters Union Local 212 early in his career.
Mark will be spearheading pre-construction, estimating, and early development planning for our Core Construction Services team. Mark will be based in our Nashville offices and will predominately focus on construction management of SomeraRoad projects across the Southeast.
Approaching thirty years in the construction industry, Mark has nearly twenty years of experience in project management for some of the nation’s largest construction companies. Prior to joining CCS, Mark worked for JE Dunn, and Brasfield & Gorrie. More recently, he worked as a project manager for Carter Group, LLC, and then served as Director of Pre-Construction for a design-build firm, Hawkins Development Company; and a demolition contractor, Tiny’s Demolition and Recycling. Mark received a B.S. in Construction Management and Architectural Design from Murray State University.

Pete serves as Project Manager Core Construction Services, LLC, handling all aspects of Construction Management.
Prior joining the Core Construction Services team, Pete gained extensive experience in managing commercial construction projects working for leading real estate developers, such as The Debartolo Corporation, TRI-C, and Marous Brothers Construction.
Pete graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He also has an Associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Penn State University and has done course work towards an MBA majoring in Finance.

Namratha works as an Estimator for Core Construction Services, LLC. Namratha is responsible for focusing on project intake, scheduling process, quantity takeoffs, budget analysis and coordination of change orders & submittals.
Prior to joining Core Construction Services Namratha she worked as an assistant project manager with strong experience in all phases of pre-construction, client meetings, project estimation, scheduling, submittals and construction coordination of residential and commercial construction. Namratha lso has experience as Jr. Architect working with design team, collaborating with the technical team to ameliorate design problems
Namratha has Master’s in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University where she majored in construction project management, cost estimation & risk management. Namratha also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, majoring in architectural design & sustainability.

Brooke joined Core Construction Services in 2019 and serves as Project Intake Coordinator and Contract Administrator. Prior to joining Core Construction Services LLC, Brooke worked for several highly regarded commercial construction and consulting firms, where she assisted in closing over $250M in projects.
With over 15+ years of experience in the commercial construction Industry, Brooke has a varied background and a wide breadth of experience assisting in managing large-scale and complex development projects from concept to delivery. At Core Construction Services Brooke leads the coordination of construction documentation and deliverables across the platform; including the construction intake process, risk management monitoring, and payment processing.

Gavin joined the Core Construction Services team in 2019 as an Assistant Project Manager. Gavin is involved in the scheduling of different projects along with assisting the project management team with coordination and other various assignments.
Prior to joining the Core Construction team, Gavin attended Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelors's Degree in Construction Systems Management. During his time at Ohio State, he extensive gained experience in the construction industry through two internships, an academic competition, and residential renovations.
